I love researching genealogy. Researching  my family I found my mother's family has been in Illinois since it was the Northwest Territory and involved in politics since the end of the 1700's.

My father's family settled first in Manhattan, New York in the late 1600's and eventually migrated south and west.  Another branch has been traced back to the 1300's in England.
